From signature events like the Indie 5K and Welcome Reception, to new meetups like a Partner Hour, these gatherings fostered connection and moved our community forward.
Trail Cleanup at the Ann and Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail | 7:00 AM:
Presented by ASICS, in partnership with the Low Impact Alliance & the Trail Conservancy
Join us for TRE’s third annual Trail Cleanup! Let’s say a big “Thank You” to Austin for hosting TRE as we clean up local trails and leave the city better than we found it. Whether walking, running, or out on the water, you’ll have ample time to catch up with old friends and build new relationships as we kick off #TRE24. Meet in the Hilton lobby at 6:50 AM to walk over with a group, or look for TRE team members and signage to guide you to the Austin Rowing Club. Cleanup materials will be provided to all participants; TRE will also donate one dollar for every pound of trash collected to The Trail Conservancy.
Race Director Summit: Speed Networking* | 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM:

New this year, the 2024 program will feature a Race Director Summit, presented by Race Roster.
The summit will provide race directors and endurance event organizers with strategies, tools, and advice to grow their businesses and deliver first-rate participant experiences. Attendees will also have the opportunity to connect with industry peers and learn from each other’s experiences – especially during this hour of speed networking.

TRE and HOKA will welcome everyone back to Austin for an evening of celebration and fun. Step into the world of HOKA as we kick off The Running Event 2024! Food and beverages will be provided; attendees, exhibitors, media, and partners are all invited to attend. It’s an event you don’t want to miss!
RIDC CommUnity Run | 6:00 – 7:30 AM:

Once again, Day Two of TRE will open with the Running Industry Diversity Coalition (RIDC) and Saucony CommUnity Run! Runners and walkers will meet up at a starting location close to the Austin Convention Center, where the RIDC will kick off the run. Open to all – including the local Austin community. Participants will run while connecting with each other and taking steps toward a more inclusive and equitable running industry. Details coming soon.

Join prAna for a relaxing yoga class Wednesday morning before the Exhibit Hall opens. prAna will provide yoga mats that attendees are welcome to take home.
